Common use cases of Thread in Zoom

Sharing content

Thread is your trusty sales co-pilot. Once in a meeting, you can easily share content from Thread by finding a playlist. Once content is selected, Thread will share and pin it’s screen in Zoom for all members to see.

Prerequisite: Host must grant recording permissions for Thread to share content.

Recommending content

Thread understands who is speaking and searches your sales collateral in real-time to help you find the best content to help answer prospect questions and push the sale forward.

Prerequisite: Host must grant recording permission to pass transcripts to Thread for analysis

Uninstalling Thread

Unwinding Thread is as easy as getting started.

Removing Thread from your Zoom account.

Uninstalling Thread from Zoom is easy too. We'd love to get your feedback before or after your uninstall. If you are an admin and you'd like to uninstall the app for all of your team's users, please do the following:

Login to your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace
Click Manage > Installed Apps or search for the Thread Copilot app.
Click the Thread Copilot app.
Click Uninstall.

If you are an individual user, you can follow the same steps above but only remove it for yourself.

Troubleshooting

Thread isn't working as you (or we) expected?

Thread isn’t joining my Zoom meetings.

Here are a few steps to try if Thread isn't joining your Zoom meetings:

Ensure Thread is enabled for your Zoom account
Close and open the Thread desktop app
Attempt to manually add the Thread Copilot to your meeting by pasting the meeting URL into the Thread desktop app
Ensure that Thread Copilot is admitted from the waiting room.

There is a significant delay in sharing content.

There should be a minimum delay between playing content in Thread and the Thread Copilot sharing content in Zoom. If it takes more than 1-2 seconds for Thread to keep up, please try the following:

Close and open the Thread desktop app
Attempt to manually re-add the Thread Copilot to your meeting by pasting the meeting URL into the Thread desktop app
Ensure that Thread Copilot is admitted from the waiting room.

There is a significant delay in Thread transcriptions and content recommendations.

Transcripts in the desktop app take a few seconds to pass from Zoom to our transcription service to the Thread desktop app. If there is a significant delay (more than 5 seconds), please try the following:

Close and open the Thread desktop app
Attempt to manually re-add the Thread Copilot to your meeting by pasting the meeting URL into the Thread desktop app
Ensure that Thread Copilot is admitted from the waiting room.

Our commitment to customers: Thread's SLA (Service-level agreement)

This Service Level Agreement (SLA) outlines the service commitments and support guarantees for customers using Thread. This SLA applies to all paid subscriptions and defines the levels of service, uptime commitments, and response times for support requests.‍

‍Thread is committed to providing a highly available and reliable service. We strive for a 99.5% uptime availability for the platform per calendar month, excluding scheduled maintenance and force majeure events.
‍Exclusions: Downtime caused by scheduled maintenance, force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, internet provider failures), or customer misconfiguration is excluded from this commitment.
‍Credit Policy: If uptime falls below 99.5%, customers may request a service credit equal to a percentage of their monthly subscription fee.

Support Services: Thread provides customer support based on the following response time commitments (during business hours)

Critical: Service is completely unavailable or major functionality is broken, preventing business operations. 1 hour
High: Major issue impacting multiple users, but partial functionality is available. 4 hours
Medium: Moderate issue affecting a single user or minor features. 24 hours
Low: General inquiries, feature requests, or cosmetic issues. 48 hours

Support hours

‍‍Support Hours: Standard support is available Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM (Pacific Standard Time).
Emergency Support: Critical issues reported outside of business hours will be addressed as soon as possible via email correspondence.

Maintenance & Updates

Scheduled Maintenance: Customers will be notified at least 48 hours in advance of any planned downtime.
Unscheduled Maintenance: If an urgent fix is required, we will make reasonable efforts to notify customers.
